• »Gunhild Carling is a jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist originating from Gothenburg but at present she lives in Malmö.

  Her main instrument is trombone but she happily picks up any instrument including trumpet, recorder, flute, oboe, saxophone and more.

  The musical style of choice is swing music but when she picks up the harp or the bagpipe it will soon get really bluesy. The musical influences includes Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Dizzy Gillespie, Bix Beiderbecke, Harpo Marx, Claude Debussy.

  Gunhild was born into the jazz music and has been playing publicly since 1982. She's born 1975. Over the years Gunhild has been appearing as a guest star with several big bands throughout Scandinavia and contributed with her energy to numerous jam sessions.
